Job DescriptionJob Description About Helio Urban Development We're a design-build company specializing in small multi-unit developments (4-12 units) optimized for CMHC MLI Select. We build every project ourselves using standardized, modular designssame floor plans, same wood-frame construction, same foundation systems. We need a structural engineer for occasional contract work when our projects require elements beyond Part 9 prescriptive limits. Clean, efficient structural design for straightforward residential buildings. (Structural) licensed in Nova Scotia + Certificate of Compliance 3+ years residential structural design experience Proficient with wood design and foundation engineering Experience with Part 9 buildings and prescriptive vs. engineered approaches Available for occasional 3-5 day turnarounds Major Bonus Multi-discipline capability: If you can also handle electrical, HVAC, or plumbing engineering, we have significantly more contract work available.
