Based in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and reporting to the Chief Pilot, pilots will operate during the wildfire season and fulfill the following tasks: JOB DESCRIPTION Pilot Air Tractor AT802 aircraft during fire suppression operations in New Brunswick, on deployment to other jurisdictions, and on aerial application projects, as required. Operate assigned aircraft and perform all key job duties and other tasks in accordance with FPL’s Company Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures. Adhere to instructions issued by officers of the Department of Natural Resources on fire suppression or instructions from the base manager when assigned to aerial application projects. Complete required preflight and postflight paperwork in a timely manner and report all items requiring maintenance as soon as possible. Maintain cleanliness of the aircraft. QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate must have: Commercial Pilot License-Fixed wing. Obtained at least 1500 hours of pilot in command time and 300 hours tailwheel experience. Preference will be given to candidates having experience with turbine engines and low altitude operations like aerial application or fire suppression. OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Conditions of employment are as below: Legally entitled to work in Canada and are required to obtain a Criminal Record Check.
