Solutions Design IT Specialist (Java/Kafka/Dynatrace) Job Details Work Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Hours: 37.5 Line Of Business: Technology Solutions Pay: $91,200 - $136,800 CAD (Temporarily eligible for a pay premium above the posted salary range, reassessed annually) Job Description Design ATM interface solutions that align with business requirements, ensuring secure and seamless authentication and authorization. Ensure design leverages existing reusable components, traces back to business requirements, and that new modules are designed with reusability in mind. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and security teams, to deliver solutions. Create and maintain documentation, such as Confluence pages, to guide teams in implementing and maintaining systems. Build REST API, microservice, Spring, and container solutions. Lead technical discussions and mentor professionals at various capacities (junior to senior designer). Identify and address any issues that affect the integrity of the application (e.g., cross‑capability/release issues). Ensure solutions comply with regulatory and TD security and control standards. Review technical deliverables for quality throughout the detailed design and development phase, identifying gaps or redesign as needed. Troubleshoot and optimize system performance, conduct code reviews, and mentor team members. Job Qualifications Minimum 8+ years of strong hands‑on developer experience. Full stack (Java primarily) developer with exceptional experience building large‑scale enterprise solutions. Real‑world implementation experience in event streaming using Kafka. Experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and cloud platforms (Azure/VMC2/EDP). Log management and monitoring tools using Dynatrace. Vulnerability scan tools like Veracode and SonarQube. Provide technical leadership for the TD API team; ensure team members fulfill project deliverables and challenge them for continuous improvement. Mentor API team resources. Strong communication skills when interacting with technology and business teams and vendor partners. Leverage AI solutions in design, development, and testing (e.g., GitHub Copilot). Experience implementing secure authentication mechanisms, including MFA and SSO. Excellent database knowledge and hands‑on experience accessing large RDBMS. Embrace a learning mindset to take each task as a challenge to learn and share knowledge as a way of continuous improvement. Bachelor's or Master's degree in technology programs. Additional Information On‑call rotation required (1 week per month).
