Key Responsibilities Accountable for overall management and direction of day-to-day sales floor operations, upholding company standards, and ensuring fast, accurate, and friendly service at all customer interaction points. Reports to the Store Manager. Store Performance Ensures store performance meets financial targets and key metrics. Monitors and sets the pace of work, and analyzes metrics and observations. Inspects sales floor for shop-ability and merchandising standards. Leads generation of new Super Savers Club memberships. Prioritizes and directs team member activity. Leadership and Development Leads, directs, and supervises supervisors and sales floor team members. Plans staffing needs, recruitment, selection, and training. Provides coaching, feedback, and addresses complaints. Identifies high-potential team members for advancement. Models respectful values-driven workplace, adhering to policies. Acting Store Manager in the store manager’s absence. Retail and CDC Operations Schedules supervisors and team members to meet demand. Directs activity to meet standards and sets work pace. Communicates operating plan targets to team. Monitors sales and operations labor to maintain efficiency. Resolves sub-standard departments or categories. Uses CatMax tool to adjust space-to-sales ratio. Handles customer questions, exchanges, and special requests. Improves customer/donor satisfaction via Voice of Customer Program. Trains and coaches staff on customer service expectations. Leverages first-hand feedback for continuous improvement. Sets up sales and marketing promotions. Safety, Loss Prevention & Cash/Tender Control Maintains a safe work environment through education and policy adherence. Collaborates with Store Manager on safety issues. Safeguards company assets and information. Manages cash and tender controls, performing morning accounting and banking procedures. Promotes loss prevention awareness and upholds procedures. What You Have Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Observation, assessment, and coaching abilities. Common sense understanding of instructions. Reasoning and independent judgment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience High School diploma (post-secondary degree preferred). Experience in sales floor, cashier, or customer service management, or retail management. Experience in Savers production environment (preferred).
