Senior Manager, Global Transaction Banking

Senior Manager, Global Transaction Banking (Toronto, Mississauga, Markham OR Vaughan) focuses on payments and Cash Management needs/products/services as well as Deposit products, ensuring specific goals, plans, and initiatives are executed in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. All activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The Senior Manager is a specialist who possesses a strong understanding of both payment and cash management products as well as deposit options.

This role negotiates and structures directly with the client to ensure solutions meet the client’s needs in a manner consistent with the Canadian Commercial Banking strategy of developing a customer-focused sales culture while adhering to governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Promotes the development and profitable growth of Canadian Commercial Banking related to Payment & Cash Management products/services and Deposit options in the assigned market area. Developing and implementing a marketing strategy to maximize business development opportunities for sustainable growth. Developing sales plans for prospects and existing customers.

Partner with internal resources for non-credit related products. Pursues a business development program within the assigned market area according to agreed-upon growth objectives. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and service enhancements. Work closely with Global Business Payments (GBP), understanding changes to services and deposit products and communicating this to team members and clients.

Understand competitors’ offerings and industry trends and communicate this information to the team, members and clients as necessary. Ensure all aspects of assigned relationships receive ongoing attention to maintain, improve, grow and retain the relationship. Champion and support a culture of diversity and other initiatives aligned with Bank strategy. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Actively pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct and Global Sales Principles, ensuring day-to-day business controls meet obligations related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. Qualifications
