Director, Segment Communications Reporting to: VP Communications This hybrid role requires office presence (Toronto/MSP/NY/Frisco/Ann Arbor) 3 days a week with business travel. About the Role Seasoned agile communications professional to elevate segment/commercial communications. Single point of contact for segment leaders, delivering coherent strategy across internal and external channels. Articulate achievements and drive brand standing. Collaborate with strategy, marketing, product, engineering, HR to unify messaging. Manage media relationships with Reuters and technology sector journalists. Build trust with stakeholders. Responsibilities Develop and execute internal and external communications strategy (50% internal, 50% external). Lead media outreach, develop speaker notes, secure coverage. Develop brand storytelling programs, customer impact stories. Align communications with product launches, business moments, thought leadership. Monitor industry trends, competitor moves, regulatory shifts and adjust strategy. Support crisis communications; part of coverage roster. Qualifications 8+ years experience in commercial/executive communications or corporate communications at a publicly traded technology company. Experience in highly matrixed environment, working closely with senior executives. Strong written and verbal skills, ability to distill complex financial information. Deep knowledge of media relations, relationships with top-tier contacts, leading outreach programs. Experience in internal communications strategy and planning, C‑suite level relationships. Leadership skills, collaborative, consensus building across functions. Detail‑oriented, able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
