About the Opportunity The Senior Network Engineer plays a pivotal, hands‑on role within the Cloud Network team, emphasizing expertise in implementation, administration, support and monitoring for network edge, load balancing, caching and network security across our global enterprise cloud. Responsibilities Provide overall technical direction and strategic leadership for delivering highly available, scalable network infrastructure, including edge networking, caching, global backbone, data‑center networking, load balancing, and network security across both public and private clouds. Lead efforts to support and troubleshoot availability, performance, product and infrastructure issues within production environments. Collaborate closely with cloud engineering, SRE, support and product teams to ensure timely resolution of customer‑impacting issues. Implement automated configuration and deployment processes to improve network functionality, availability and performance. Develop infrastructure‑as‑code across both public and private clouds using industry best practices. Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of network infrastructure using rich telemetry data. Skills and Experience Solid foundation in networking: routing, switching, security and load balancing. Fluency in Azure Cloud Networking with a strong understanding of protocols such as BGP, TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and routing across globally distributed networks. Experience operating multi‑regional environments with Azure networking technologies (Azure Virtual WAN, Application Gateway, NAT Gateway, VNet Peering, Azure Firewall Premium, Azure NSG/ASG, Traffic Manager, Front Door) at a global scale. Expertise in load‑balancing technologies (e.g. F5, AVI). Expertise in network edge security providers (e.g. Akamai, Cloudflare, Imperva). Proficiency in one or more automation languages (PowerShell, shell scripts, Perl, Python, Ansible, Terraform). Extensive experience with cloud‑based security architectures, tools, policy automation, governance and application monitoring. Experience with observability products: commercial APM tools, ELK stack, Azure Monitor, Prometheus and Grafana; demonstrated ability to deploy and manage cloud services. Experience with networking/implementing event streaming architectures (Kafka, RedPanda). Strong program and project‑management skills, identifying, prioritizing and executing competing priorities. Ability to balance high availability, performance and scalability while reducing costs. Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences; ability to lead discussions about complex solution‑design tradeoffs and resolve conflicts. Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast‑paced, high‑growth, rapidly changing environment. Certifications from AWS, Azure or GCP are a bonus.
