Support prescription workflow and customer service as a Pharmacy Assistant at Shoppers Drug Mart. Help deliver timely, accurate pharmacy services in a local store.
This Pharmacy Assistant supports technical prescription dispensing functions and pharmacy operations. You will gather prescription information, process data, prepare medications, manage documentation, and refer clinical inquiries to pharmacists. The role also includes billing, telephone support, and customer service while following Pharmacy Standards of Practice and privacy requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather prescription information and greet customers promptly
- Enter prescriptions and process refill requests accurately
- Count, measure, package, and label medications
- Manage billing, faxes, documentation, and telephone inquiries
- Refer clinical questions and counseling needs to pharmacists
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Pharmacy Assistant accredited course diploma preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and privacy awareness
