Our client, a global leading engineering and consulting firm with projects in over 80 locations worldwide is seeking a Structural Project Manager (Minerals and Metals). The role consists of 70% hands-on work, 30% leading work.


About The Role:

As the Structural Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the structural engineering designs from conceptual design to detail design, tender, and construction phases in accordance with Canadian Codes and Standards. You will perform analysis and design of steel structures and concrete foundations, conduct site visits, prepare specifications, and supervise project teams to ensure project objectives are met in the mining resources sector.


Responsibilities:

* Manage project cost, progress and schedule reports and develop and execute action plans to correct.

* Assist in establishing project strategy and monitor critical path schedules and deliverables.

* Coordinate multi-discipline engineering efforts for timely preparation, evaluation, and delivery of project deliverables.

* Monitor the overall execution of PEA and PFS level studies, scoping studies, and technical updates while ensuring safety, quality, timeliness. Lead the delivery of regulatory documentation.

* Ensure that structure and project risks are adequately addressed and communicated.

* Coordinate the development of project models and financial models.

* Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with management, clients, team members, and other key stakeholders.


About You:

* Engineering degree or related technical degree or diploma

* Experience in the mining and metals industry, energy, utilities and/or oil and gas.

* Previous experience in development, delivery of EPC / EPCM projects, or previous experience in operations of existing mining facilities would be considered an asset.

* Experience as a Structural Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Lead Discipline Engineer in the Mining & Metals industry is an asset.

* Ability to demonstrate experience in leadership, client relationship and management skills
