AI/ML Lead (Senior Machine Learning Engineer – Full-time Leadership Role) Company: Aurelian Venture Type: Full-Time, Contract, Hands‑on Technical Leadership Compensation: CAD $180,000 – $250,000 base + significant equity + performance bonuses + comprehensive benefits Start Date: Immediate – Shape multiple high‑impact AI products from early stage About Aurelian Venture Aurelian Venture builds vertical AI platforms that deliver predictive intelligence for high‑stakes industries. We create SaaS tools that forecast critical outcomes before they become costly problems or missed opportunities — using large‑scale public data, advanced NLP, RAG architectures, and probabilistic modeling. Core Responsibilities: Architect and lead development of large-scale RAG systems on domain‑specific document corpora (tens of thousands of PDFs/HTMLs) Build advanced NLP pipelines for pattern detection, trend forecasting, risk/opportunity scoring, and citation‑aware remediation recommendations Design probabilistic and time‑series models that handle noisy, imbalanced, evolving data with strong explainability Guide architecture decisions that enable reuse across verticals while preserving domain specificity Mentor engineers and collaborate with domain experts to ensure predictions are both technically robust and commercially valuable Qualifications Required: 7+ years hands‑on production ML experience, with emphasis on NLP and large unstructured document systems Deep expertise building and optimizing RAG pipelines at scale (LangChain/LlamaIndex, chunking strategies, retrieval tuning) Strong proficiency with modern ML stacks: PyTorch/Hugging Face Transformers, vector databases (Pinecone/Weaviate/FAISS), Python ecosystem Experience leading technical direction and small‑to‑medium engineering efforts Track record shipping explainable, reliable models in high‑stakes or regulated environments Strongly Preferred: Background in RegTech, LegalTech, ComplianceTech, FinTech AI, PharmaTech, or similar vertical intelligence platforms Experience with large‑scale public document scraping, parsing, and metadata enrichment pipelines Familiarity with MLOps best practices (MLflow, CI/CD, monitoring, cost optimization) Why Aurelian Venture?
