South Muskoka Memorial Hospital is a 59-bed hospital serving 35,000 local residents and 75,000 seasonal residents. Our tourist population grows to a million in the summer when people take advantage of our lakes and rivers or visit the world-renowned Algonquin Provincial Park. Description: Shift hours currently scheduled for 8-1400; ; ; A robust backup system (second-on-call) is in place Requirements: CPSO License CCFP, CCFP-EM, or FRCP ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ATLS are encouraged Support: New physician mentorship (may be eligible for provincially sponsored program) Robust backup system Five-bed Level 2 ICU – covered by Internists and Surgeons RT Support Local consults are provided by General Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Urology, GP Anaesthesia, GP OB, and Palliative Care.
