Job Overview Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results‑driven professional to join our team in the role of EQ Program Engineer in the Environmental Qualification department. Reporting to the Manager, Engineering, this position is responsible for performing engineering evaluations and assessments, supporting engineering design changes, and providing field technical support and surveillance in accordance with applicable nuclear industry codes and standards. Key Accountabilities Maintaining and providing oversight of OGP’s Environmental Qualification (EQ) program Providing technical oversight of the work programs associated with respective department in operating and project/refurbishment state Conducting field surveillance and monitoring of programs Participation in various cross‑functional teams to address and solve complex problems Preparing engineering solutions and presenting senior leadership at different forums to seek endorsement Collaborating with both OGP’s internal teams and external organizations, including Design Engineering & Project Management teams, Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) vendors, and Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) Stakeholder in procurement evaluations and active participation in cross‑functional teams to address complex problems during design changes and procurement Qualifications 4‑year engineering degree in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Minimum 2 years related engineering experience required Experience working in the Nuclear or Power Generation industry is an asset Knowledge of EQ CSA N290.13, IEEE 323, EQ List Development (EQLDP), EQ Assessment (EQA) Experience in Material Analysis is an asset Experience with ECC Engineering Change Control processes and/or OGP’s ECC process is an asset Excellent written and verbal communication skills and complex problem‑solving skills Candidate must be a fully licensed engineer in the province of Ontario, or be eligible to be licensed in the Province of Ontario The successful candidate will exhibit uncompromising integrity and commitment to upholding corporate values, and the OGP Code of Business Conduct.
