We want to immediately offer an individual the opportunity to be a part of this industry and join our family of transformer assembly operators, with a full-time permanent employment contract Position Description Supporting the Assembly (Afternoons) team, the Team Lead is responsible for oversight of the daily activities of the production line by providing guidance and direction to employees assigned to the production line. This position ensures that the team is aware of the production timelines, provides status updates throughout the day and troubleshoots bottlenecks on the line. Responsibilities Set and follow Leader Standard Work daily Complete Start-Up Checks Assess manpower and break coverage continually with Production Supervisors and other Leads Conduct daily huddles with team to inform on progress and demands Regularly update cell board and dash boards and review operator efficiencies Utilize KPI metrics to compare actuals and to foster continuous improvement Support operators with material needs, upcoming jobs and continuous coaching Administer and support cross training initiatives Adhere to Cam Tran safety policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of the product and plant operations Demonstrated experience and knowledge in lean manufacturing systems, Production Control and Quality System Skills Ability to communicate effectively with others Well organized and able to make independent judgments Able to work in a team environment Working Conditions 10 hour shifts with potential for overtime. Tasks are repetitive. Work is conducted in an indoor manufacturing environment around various pieces of equipment. Environment can be hot during summer months. Heaving lifting is required occasionally. For materials in excess of 50lbs employees use overhead crane or may require the assistance of two or more people. Operation of machinery in the production process, operation of forklift. Fast paced, high pressure, efficiency driven environment.
