Job Description CAMH is a pan‑Canadian mental health centre dedicated to transforming lives, igniting innovation, and driving social change. The Information and Privacy Officer will support the establishment and implementation of the Integrated Youth Services (IYS) Data Platform, a cloud‑based infrastructure that enables secure, coordinated use of data while protecting privacy and respecting Indigenous data sovereignty. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Informatics and Health Information Services, the Officer will manage all aspects of the IYS Data Platform and Collaboration Centre privacy program, including program implementation, monitoring, data‑sharing agreements, policy development, procedures, stakeholder relations, investigations, audits, and awareness initiatives. Key responsibilities include: Ensuring compliance with provincial and federal acts and regulations (e.g., PHIPA, FIPPA, OCAP®, EGAP). Developing compliance strategies and supporting data‑sharing and legal agreements. Investigating privacy complaints and incidents. Conducting audits, privacy reviews, and privacy impact assessments. Developing policies, procedures and training materials related to privacy compliance. Providing education and awareness initiatives to staff and stakeholders. Collaborating with Data Governance, Legal, Cybersecurity, and Research Ethics teams. Job Requirements Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of progressively responsible privacy‑related work experience across multiple privacy laws. At least one year’s experience in an Access and Privacy Office. Strong working knowledge of PHIPA, FIPPA, OCAP®, EGAP, and Indigenous data sovereignty principles. Experience with pan‑Canadian interoperability and data‑sharing frameworks. Ability to align privacy and compliance functions within broader data governance ecosystems. Leadership experience driving and executing compliance programs. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational and time‑management skills. Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficiency in a second language (French and/or Indigenous language) is an asset. CIPP/C designation is an asset.
