Job Description The Systems Specialist is a collaborative and key member of the Cloud and Data Center team. This position will support and maintain the lifecycle of services and solutions to satisfy business and operational requirements using internal and industry best practices. All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Responsibilities Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available Azure cloud solutions Collaborate with architects and developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions Lead the deployment and configuration of Azure services including compute, storage, networking, and identity Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform Ensure system reliability and performance through monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery strategies Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for incidents and outages Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization Maintain security and compliance standards across all Azure environments Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers Qualifications Education Required: A university degree, college diploma or a related discipline 3-8 years of experience in IT Environments (Systems) Knowledge/Experience in: Active Directory (AD), AD Federated Services (ADFS), Server OS (Windows/Linux), Virtualization, Storage, Enterprise Backup Services Knowledge/Experience in Cloud Platforms such as Azure and Amazon Effective customer service and communication skills Strong attention to detail while being able to pivot to changing priorities Work well in a collaborative environment Bonus Microsoft Certified Systems Associate, or Microsoft Certified Azure Associate ITIL Foundations Certification Six Sigma – Yellow Belt Certification About Us Founded in 1882, J.D.
