Contract Weed Surveyor

Role Description

This is a 2-3 weeks in July 2024 contract role for a Weed Surveyor. As a Weed Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting on-site surveys and assessments to identify and document weed species and populations in the Lloydminster, SK area. You will collect data on weed distribution and abundance, record observations, and contribute to the development of weed management plans. This is a field-based role that requires extensive travel and working in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in surveying, field data collection, or related roles
• Knowledge of common weed species and their characteristics
• Understanding of survey techniques and data collection methods
• Ability to use GPS devices and other survey equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately record and document observations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical fitness and ability to work in outdoor environments for extended periods
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various survey sites
• Knowledge of weed management practices is a plus
