Job Summary:


We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with expertise in cucumber, Gherkin, and Java-based test automation and strong skills in manual and API testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a trading or post-trade environment , ensuring the reliability of complex financial systems. This role involves designing, automating, and executing test cases while also performing manual testing when needed. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using Cucumber/Gherkin and Java . 
  • Design and maintain test automation frameworks to improve efficiency. 
  • Perform manual testing for critical functionalities that require deep analysis and exploratory testing. 
  • Conduct API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools , ensuring robust backend validation. 
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria . 
  • Perform end-to-end testing in a trading or post-trade environment , ensuring system stability and accuracy. 
  • Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with the development team for timely resolution. 
  • Implement continuous testing as part of CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing for critical financial applications. 
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and trends in test automation, manual testing, and trading technologies. 

 

Key Skills & Experience:  

  • 5-8 years of experience in software quality assurance, including manual testing, API testing, and test automation . 
  • Hands-on experience with Cucumber, Gherkin, and Java-based automation frameworks . 
  • Strong background in manual testing , including exploratory testing and test case execution. 
  • Experience in trading or post-trade environments (e.g., order management systems, trade settlement, clearing). 
  • Proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar . 
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar) is a plus. 
  • Proficiency in Selenium, REST API validation, and database testing (SQL/NoSQL) . 
  • Knowledge of cloud-based testing and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in an Agile environment. 
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
