Job Description The ideal candidate is patient, gregarious, and highly dependable. You will help students discover the conceptual building blocks and relationships that underpin mathematics and receive training that deepens your math knowledge and stretches your teaching abilities. Educational Requirements A degree from a recognized college or university is required. A Bachelor of Education degree is an asset but not mandatory. Responsibilities Effectively manage the classroom to maintain a safe, orderly learning environment. Adhere to the Spirit of Math teaching methodology and administrative system. Deliver lessons to students. Grade student assignments, tests, and exams. Build and maintain relationships with parents. Address issues with students’ performance and behaviour. Manage assistant teachers as needed. Maintain accurate records of grades and attendance. Perform peer evaluations periodically. Attend professional development sessions several times per year.
