Initial Responsibilities:Spearhead the café's coffee programDevelop coffee/drink menusSetup/maintain/evaluate all cafe equipmentEvaluate daily operationsOrganize and maintain inventoryAddress customers' complaints or concernsProvide customer serviceManage eventsEnsure health and safety regulations are followedTrain staffSupervise staffMonitor staff performancePlan and organize daily operationsBalance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms

Senior Manager RoleAnalyze budget to boost and maintain the retail/restaurant’s profitsDevelop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning suppliesModify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budgetMonitor revenues to determine labour costRecruit staffSet staff work schedulesConduct performance reviewsLeading/instructing individualsDetermine type of services to be offered and implement operational proceduresCost products and servicesEnforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulationsNegotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other suppliesNegotiate with clients for catering or use of facilitiesParticipate in marketing plans and implementation

Qualifications:Good time-management skillsAble to work in a fast-paced environmentGreat interpersonal and communication skillsTeam player with a positive attitudeAble to work independentlyMUST be smart serve certifiedCan work a combinations of shifts weekday AM/PM and weekends AM/PM and holidaysBarista: 3+ years (required)

Supervision:3-4 people leading to 5-10 people
