Setup Technician

Job Description:Job Description The Set up Technician reports to the Production Supervisor and will be responsible for the efficient operation of the extrusion lines. The primary duties are related to new order set-up, maintenance of all extrusion equipment, and support for daily extrusion operations. Schedule: 12-hour continental shift with 4 week turnaround Responsibilities:Train as an extrusion operator to learn machines, products and processes.Set up new work orders as dictated by scheduling and the set-up specificationsAssist the extrusion operators throughout the day as needed with a focus on the newer employeesWork directly with the Production Supervisor to coordinate plans for pending work ordersSupport quality assurance efforts through daily monitoring of the extrusion equipment and the products being producedComplete basic repairs on extrusion equipmentMaintain a clean and safe work environment at all times Skills and Qualifications:2-4 years of setup experience in the production machineryDiploma/Degree in a mechanical or mechanical inclined fieldPrior mechanical or maintenance experience an assetMust be detail-oriented and able to work unsupervisedHave a strong commitment to safety and work well in a team environment Job ID: 21581061
