This Metal Fabrication Labourer supports production through material handling, machining, maintenance, and shop organization. The work includes band saw operation, deburring, equipment care, safety practices, and quality checks. Strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and communication skills support success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials using forklifts and cranes
- Operate band saws and other cutting machinery
- Perform deburring and finishing operations on machined products
- Maintain machinery, equipment, work areas, and shop cleanliness
- Report hazards, defects, maintenance needs, and process concerns
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of safety procedures for assembly and fabrication work
- Forklift and crane certification preferred
