What you will be doing: 

  • Delivering a high level of client service by responding to client inquiries in a professional and responsive manner and resolving issues whenever possible.
  • Supporting the team with the review and analysis of client portfolios and preparing for client meetings.
  • Offering clients sound investment advice that aligns with their investment objectives.
  • Identifying new business opportunities to acquire additional assets and/or increase revenue with prospective clients and existing client base.
  • Working with the advisor to develop client communications and marketing pieces.
  • Entering client trades as directed and ensuring daily trades and system account entries are timely and accurate.
  • Assisting the team with research and product information from internal and external sources.
  • Working with model portfolio selection process, Know Your Product (KYP), and other compliance initiatives.
  • Assisting in idea generation and recommending ways to provide additional value to clients and increase office efficiencies.
  • Facilitating client retention by building strong client-relationships.
  • Adhering to regulatory policies by staying up to date with all industry rulings and policies.
  • As requested, organize and/or attend investment partner meetings, client appreciation events, networking events, and other professional development opportunities.


What you bring to the table:

  • Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), and Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course.
  • College or University degree in related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the Financial Services industry or a related industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong written communication skills including strong proofreading, spelling and grammar.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a variety of clients and prospects, key business partners, and government agencies.
  • Proficiency in contact management systems(CRM), Croesus, Morningstar, and other financial software and applications is considered an asset.
  • Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation is considered an asset.
