The opportunity… The Language Policy and Planning Branch seeks a strong leader with strategic insight to lead, inspire, empower and supervise a team of 8 professionals. In This Role, You Will Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of language policy and strategic planning. Oversee French-language training. Provide expert advice on legislation, agreements, and policy matters. Collaborate closely with departments and other public bodies to ensure priorities are effectively met. Support briefing needs associated with the legislative cycle and other decision‑making processes. Essential Qualifications Completion of post‑secondary education, ideally in public administration, public policy, or a related field. Significant experience in policy development and analysis, including researching, drafting, providing options and advices, and implementing. Experience implementing service programs, ideally in a bilingual setting. Experience interpreting legislation, intergovernmental agreements, and policies. The Following Will Be Considered As Assets Experience supervising and managing a multidisciplinary team. Experience working with diverse stakeholders (e.g., First Nations, NGOs, governments).
