Senior Consultant - IT Audit, Technology Risk Services Join the KPMG Canada team as a Senior Consultant in IT Audit and Technology Risk Services. In this role you will partner with clients across varied industries to strengthen business resilience and manage technology-related risks. Overview Our Risk Services practice provides advisory and assurance services to help clients strengthen their resilience, manage risks, and catalyze performance. KPMG’s Technology Risk services assist clients in identifying, evaluating, and managing opportunities, risks, controls, and compliance related to technology-enabled processes, services, and solutions—whether in‑house or third‑party. Services include: Technology Assurance Services SOC 1, SOC 2, and Other Controls Assurance Services IT Internal / External Audit Services Business Systems Controls Services System Implementation Assessment and Assurance Services Technology Project Advisory and Assurance Services Technology Governance, Risk & Compliance Services What You Will Do Develop and execute IT audit and advisory engagement work plans Contribute to multiple client engagements of varying size, scope and complexity in diverse technology environments Document and assess governance, risks and controls related to IT systems and processes Communicate findings and recommendations through advisory and assurance reports, analysis and deliverables for audits and risk assessments Discuss findings with client personnel and develop reports and deliverables Identify and assist in pursuit activities, including marketing materials, proposals, presentations and research Co‑achieve, train, supervise, and develop junior staff Contribute to practice initiatives such as knowledge sharing, HR initiatives and practice administration What You Bring To The Role Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS/BTM, Computer Science or related field Relevant audit or accounting designation(s) (e.g., CISA, CPA, CIA) preferred Minimum 3 years’ experience in audit, consulting or related industry, especially in systems auditing, IT project ownership, business system controls or cyber security Aspiration to pursue further education/designations (e.g., PMP, CISSP, CRISC) Ability to identify and evaluate business, IT and audit risks, including financial reporting, compliance and IT components Experience auditing or implementing business systems and emerging technologies, and streamlining IT audit processes Knowledge of technology supporting GRC initiatives and processes is desirable Highly motivated, self‑starter who can prioritize work, multitask and adapt to changing priorities Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong business acumen, interpersonal skills, professional maturity and ability to build relationships with diverse clients and colleagues Willingness and ability to travel within Canada as required Providing You with the Support You Need to Be at Your Best We offer a supportive environment, ongoing training, and career development resources to help you grow and succeed in this role.
