Financial Digital Transformation Architect

Position Overview: Our client is a leading alternative asset manager with AUM in excess of $20b undergoing extensive system implementations. On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Financial Digital Transformation Architect to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. The primary responsibilities of this role include GL implementation, process improvements, and experience with Sage Intacct.
The Digital Transformation Architect will act as an expert advisor to the business throughout the next phase of the Finance Digitization Program. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of ERP systems, accounting practices and process transformation, with a particular emphasis on finance operations. As a Digital Transformation Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing innovative solutions that align with our business objectives and drive successful outcomes.
This is a hybrid role with approximately 2 days per week in our downtown Toronto office.
**We are looking for someone with a finance/accounting background who has also led ERP system implementations. Not someone with a pure IT/BA background.**
Responsibilities:
- Technical Solution Design
- Accounting System Integration Architecture (systems including but not limited to: Sage Intacct, Concur, Ceridian)
- Business Process Analysis
- Process Documentation and process improvements
- Finance Module Expertise
- Technical Leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field
- 5-10+ years of experience in financial system implementation
- Proven track record of implementing successful solutions to business challenges
- Experience developing formal business & system process documentation
- Proficiency in technical writing
- High proficiency in Microsoft Visio or similar
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into meaningful terms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus
Duration: 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
