Seafood Supervisor Trainee

Relevant du directeur du rayon de la poissonnerie (ou de son adjoint(e)), le superviseur de la poissonnerie est chargé de soutenir le directeur de rayon et son adjoint(e) en fournissant des conseils, en supervisant et en donnant l’exemple aux associé(e)s de la poissonnerie. T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 37 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 14 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years. Provide guidance and supervision to Store Associates, ensure fair distribution of work and daily operational procedures are strictly executed. Assist department leaders to train staff, provide feedback on staff performance, and maintain daily operations as and when required. Manage product quality, food safety, freshness and ensure company policies are strictly practiced within the department. Handle customers’ complaints, deliver exceptional customer service and relate customer feedback to department leaders. Conduct quality and inventory control, responsible for equipment and tools maintenance, follow up and the cleanliness, hygiene and workplace safety of the department. Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays. Have a good understanding of tools & equipments relevant to the job and know how to interpret labels of merchandises. Be prepared to stand long time and to hands on dealing with seafood products(live & frozen) and lifting of products of 40 pounds on a regular basis. Be prepared to work in low temperature (0-4 ℃), freezing temperature (-18℃), and wet environment for long time. Possess basic computer skills in MS Office. Not allergic in handling seafood products. Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety. This is an active job posting for a currently vacant position.
