About the Role Ramp is on a mission to redefine financial efficiency for modern businesses and organic search is central to how we scale that impact. As our Director of AEO & SEO , you’ll be responsible for crafting and executing a cutting‑edge SEO strategy that goes far beyond traditional playbooks. From optimizing for generative AI and answer engines to building deeply technical and scalable content systems, you’ll play a critical role in driving awareness, acquisition, and authority. This is an opportunity to build a modern SEO function at one of the fastest‑growing fintech companies in the world. What You’ll Do Architect and execute Ramp’s full-funnel SEO strategy, from core web vitals to AI‑first search optimization and everything in between Own and scale our AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) approach, ensuring Ramp shows up where AI‑generated answers are being served across Google SGE, Perplexity, ChatGPT, and others Partner with engineering and product teams to identify technical SEO levers, including site architecture, crawl efficiency, structured data, and LLM‑ready markup Build and lead a high‑performing SEO team, integrating content strategy, analytics, and technical execution Constantly experiment with and adapt to the evolution of search, including zero‑click SERPs, multimodal search, and generative search behavior What You Need Minimum 7 years of experience in SEO, with at least 3 years in a technical SEO leadership role Proven track record of driving significant organic growth at scale, preferably in B2B, SaaS, or fintech Deep understanding of modern search paradigms including structured data, schema markup, site speed, indexing, and core algorithm changes Familiarity with LLM behavior, vector search, and how generative AI systems consume and surface web content Strong experience using tools like GSC, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Looker, LLM visibility tools, and SEO automation frameworks (Python/SQL a plus) Nice-to-Haves Experience optimizing for AI‑generated answer engines (e.g. Google SGE, Perplexity, ChatGPT, You.com) Experience building internal SEO platforms or tools Understanding of international SEO, accessibility, and localization best practices Benefits (for U.S.-based full-time employees) 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you Partially covered for your dependents One Medical annual membership 401k (including employer match on contributions made while employed by Ramp) Flexible PTO Fertility HRA (up to $5,000 per year) WFH stipend to support your home office needs Wellness stipend Parental Leave Relocation support to NYC or SF (as needed) Pet insurance Referral Instructions If you are being referred for the role, please contact that person to apply on your behalf.
