Sr Business Partner FP&A, Sales & Marketing Department: Financial Planning & Analysis Location: Canada - Remote (0002) Overview: This is a flexible position with options to work in our Toronto office full time, hybrid throughout the week, or entirely remotely. The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A will provide comprehensive financial analysis and support to various business units, preparing and analyzing financial reports, developing budgets, and forecasting operational and financial performance. The role involves close collaboration with senior management to deliver insights and recommendations that drive business decisions. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs). Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes. Serve as a key business partner to senior management, providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Analyze data and convey concise stories. Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting capabilities. Learn and leverage key financial models in Vena; maintain and improve established models and identify areas for automation. Facilitate budget and forecasting processes for key stakeholders, providing data and insights to support optimal decision making. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 5+ years of experience working in Finance. Strong communication skills, comfortable collaborating with senior leadership and working effectively cross‑functionally. Excel wizardry and proficiency in financial modeling. Ability to uncover important business insights. Enthusiasm for working with new technology. Experience with various CRMs and ERPs, and a solid understanding of SaaS business models. Track record of experimenting and successfully using AI in day‑to‑day tasks. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Sound planning, forecasting, financial modeling, and technical skills, with a focus on driving operational excellence. Self‑starter who can execute with limited direction. Enjoys experimenting and learning quickly from mistakes. Preferred Qualifications Good understanding of SaaS business. Experience using CPM or FP&A software. Educational Requirements Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance. CPA designation preferred. Salary will be tailored to role, level, and location. Compensation may adjust with progression and will be discussed with the recruiter.
