Opening Summer 2025, Squamish Canyon will offer a breathtaking canyon walkway and immersive forest experience that will redefine adventure in the Sea to Sky Corridor. As we prepare to welcome our first guests, we are building a team of passionate individuals ready to deliver exceptional service at every touchpoint — including in our retail shop. We are currently seeking energetic and guest-focused Retail Associates to join our opening team and help create unforgettable shopping experiences for our visitors. About the Role As a Retail Associate, you will play a key role in connecting guests to Squamish Canyon through engaging retail experiences. From providing outstanding customer service to maintaining a beautiful store environment, you will help tell our story and create lasting memories for our guests. Key Responsibilities Merchandising the gift shop to support meeting sales targets Restocking and tracking inventory Updating the POS system with new stock and new inventory Guest Experience & Sales Deliver outstanding customer service with professionalism, friendliness, and enthusiasm. Share stories about our products and the Squamish Canyon experience to enrich guest interactions. Assist with merchandise sales, achieve sales targets, and contribute to the success of the retail team. Store Operations Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail environment. Going to our off site storage for retail back stock Accurately operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and manage daily cash handling and reconciliation. Team Support Collaborate with other Squamish Canyon departments to ensure seamless guest experiences. Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team and business needs. Qualifications Friendly, confident, and approachable, with the ability to quickly build rapport with guests. Passion for storytelling and creating memorable connections through products and guest engagement. Strong interpersonal skills and a professional approach to public interaction. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to safely lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds. Asset Qualifications (Preferred but Not Required) Previous experience in retail, tourism, or guest services. Experience using a computer-based POS system. Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. Proficiency in a second language. Work Conditions Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays to meet operational needs. Must be comfortable standing for extended periods and walking throughout the retail and guest areas. Must be able to lift and carry merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Work is primarily indoors but may require occasional support for outdoor events or special activities.
