Contract Duration: 12 months. Extension: Possible. FTE: Possible. Number of Positions: 1. Schedule Hours: 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday, 37.5 hrs per week. A Typical Day in Role involves: Collaborating with other teams within risk management to gather requirements and provide updates on progress Working alongside other BAs, developers, and project managers Generating business requirements and documents that align to the policies to ensure that the new technology meets the needs of the business lines as they adapt to comply with policy Analyzing existing processing and identifying opportunities for optimization Working alongside developers and technical experts to develop functions or technical requirements that will provide the reference for new technology and new software Designing functional test cases and carrying out the testing and valuation concurrently with development Reviewing test results and identifying corrective steps for complex issues across application boundaries Utilizing strong written and verbal communication skills when conducting and facilitating presentations to stakeholders and management Exercising initiative and sound judgment in the execution of project plans and schedules Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills: 10+ years’ experience in the capacity of a BSA 5+ years’ recent and relevant experience with capital markets risk and financial risk (VAR calculation and work with complex financial instruments, etc.) 5+ years’ experience with Python shell scripting Recent experience in Sybase SQL Recent hands-on working experience with Unix/Linux is required Previous experience with and knowledge of the SDLC Documentation of business requirements is a must Nice-To-Have Skills: Familiarity with different data formats such as XML and JSON are assets Experience with JIRA and Confluence is an asset Soft Skills: Verbal and written communication is required Good teamwork Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changes in requirements Proactive problem solver The ideal candidate will be able to articulate their knowledge and experience of Market risk, decommissioning of legacy process, and have awareness of the trade lifecycle, as well as strong experience with UAT and test cases. Communication is central to the role, as is the ability to generate technical documentation. Experience in must-have skillsets will be prioritized in shortlisting. Degrees or certifications: A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Candidate Review & Selection: Structure and Format: Interviews will be held via MS Teams video.
