This role is accountable for ensuring the accurate and timely accounting for Questbank and CTC. Key responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining a skilled and effective accounting and financial operations function Providing impactful leadership and coaching to the accounting and financial operations team Leading the team to ensure robust controls and meet the requirements of relevant regulators Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and strong collaboration within the team and across the broader finance organization Requirements: Professional accounting designation (CPA-CA) 5+ years of progressive leadership experience within a Financial Regulated Financial Institution (FRFI) or equivalent relevant experience 10+ years of comprehensive finance and accounting experience In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), with specialized expertise in IFRS 9 and hedge accounting Solid understanding of the regulatory framework and reporting requirements pertinent to FRFIs Superior comprehension of financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow dynamics specific to deposit-taking institutions Questrade Financial Group is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and accessible work environment.
