About The Role We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Application Specialist to join our team in Ville de Québec, Québec. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert, working closely with clients and internal teams to design, develop, and implement hydraulic and pneumatic systems tailored to customer specifications. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, from initial consultation through to installation and support. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills in both French and English, and a passion for innovative engineering solutions. Qualifications Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, or 5 years of relevant industry experience. Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in a related field is preferred; equivalent technical diplomas or extensive practical experience will be considered. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; 3D design software such as SolidWorks is considered an asset. Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level. Knowledge of PLC programming, electrical design, and project management experience is advantageous. Willingness to undergo a criminal background check and hold a valid driver’s license, with ability to travel to client sites as needed. Fluency in both French and English (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential for effective communication within the team and with clients. Responsibilities Engaging with customers to understand their needs and requirements for hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Designing power units and pneumatic systems that meet client specifications and industry standards. Selecting appropriate system components and preparing detailed requisitions for procurement. Generating comprehensive hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation in both English and French. Performing calculations to determine system capacities and ensure optimal performance. Preparing detailed quotes, project cost estimates, and technical proposals for clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy in both languages. Collaborating with team members to refine design concepts, fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Participating in project planning, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions. Providing technical support during the production and installation phases when required. Acting as the primary technical authority during proposal development, working closely with sales teams to secure projects. Engaging with manufacturing, procurement, and service teams to facilitate seamless project execution. Establishing and maintaining rigorous quality procedures to uphold engineering standards and meet customer expectations. Identifying potential issues and developing effective solutions to resolve technical challenges. Reporting project delays or issues promptly to ensure proactive management and customer satisfaction.
