Position: Business Analyst - Intermediate Location: Hybrid/Toronto Downtown Job ID#: RQ09900 Duration: 12 Months Position Overview The Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting operations, auditing, performance monitoring, and service management for large-scale IT platforms. This role involves managing user lifecycle processes, auditing platform usage, overseeing documentation, and ensuring compliance with security and performance standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience in enterprise architecture and cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities Operations Audit & Platform Management Conduct periodic platform user audits and follow up with clients for remediation Manage product specifications and documentation for audit and logging components Develop and maintain user guides and training materials Define and manage new requirements, schedule implementations, and validate deliverables Review audit data to identify abnormal usage patterns and initiate corrective actions Performance & Security Analysis Generate monthly platform performance reports Monitor vulnerability reports and track security patching Track transaction volumes across gateways, databases, and APIs Service Inventory Management Manage configuration item (CI) inventory and liaise with CMDB team Mandatory Qualifications 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst Proven experience organizing workshops with business users Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, consensus-building, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated experience with planning and implementing releases Preferred Skills & Experience Experience with Cloud Services (Kubernetes/OpenShift, MS Azure) Familiarity with reporting tools and concepts Knowledge of CMDB concepts and methodologies Experience with Remedy and/or eSMT Understanding of ITIL, SDLC, and DevOps processes Experience in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., Zachman) Exposure to public sector processes and IT governance (ACT/ARB, gating) Knowledge of Ontario government policies and procedures or similar large organizations Initiative and responsiveness in dynamic environments Ability to manage service management processes for cloud-based platforms Strong client relationship management skills About Symbiotic Digital.
