Security Architect

Role Overview Fluent, Inc. is seeking a Security Architect to build and mature our security operations capabilities. This role will be foundational in defining Fluent's security architecture, operational processes, tooling strategy, and incident response model across cloud, application, and corporate environments. Compensation CA$250,000.00/yr - CA$280,000.00/yr (Base pay range) Salary Range: $250,000 to $280,000 CAD base, + competitive bonus plan. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Fluent salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Responsibilities Evaluate existing security infrastructure and identify opportunities for improvement. Work with IT leadership to design and implement solutions to expand security infrastructure and streamline the security stack to improve visibility and operational efficiency. Consolidate reporting and monitoring through expanded integration with Wiz. Lead efforts to update and codify security standards inline with industry best practices. Lead security response and investigation efforts as needed. Support GRC activities and audits as needed. Work with IT management to streamline IAM integration across end user endpoints. Work with AWS team to manage AWS IAM for cloud services. Design and lead the implementation of a formal Security Operations Center (SOC), including detection architecture, alerting strategy, incident workflows, and escalation models. Architect and operationalize security telemetry across Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and application layers. Define and mature detection use cases and alerting strategy to improve signal quality and reduce noise. Serve as a senior security advisor to engineering and platform teams, embedding security into system design and technical decision-making. Provide structured post‑incident analysis and remediation guidance as a formalized practice. Qualifications Hands‑on technical depth in security architecture and operations. Experience designing and implementing security solutions in cloud, application, and corporate environments. Strong understanding of security standards, incident response, and governance (GRC). Proficiency with IAM, cloud security tools, and telemetry across Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines. Experience leading security operations center (SOC) design and implementation. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
