About the Role
Our client, a prestigious nail salon and training academy in Kimberley , is seeking a highly skilled Senior Nail Technician & Educator. This role combines hands-on nail artistry with the rewarding responsibility of training aspiring nail technicians. You will be expected to deliver exceptional nail services to a discerning clientele while also developing and delivering comprehensive training programs. The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of nail anatomy, various application techniques, and a passion for teaching and mentorship. Key Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of advanced nail services, including manicures, pedicures, artificial nail applications (gels, acrylics), nail art, and extensions.
- Provide expert consultations to clients, assessing their nail health and recommending suitable treatments and styles.
- Develop and update curriculum for nail technician training programs, ensuring relevance and compliance with industry standards.
- Deliver engaging and informative training sessions, workshops, and demonstrations to students.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback for skill development.
- Stay current with the latest trends, techniques, and product innovations in the nail industry.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and sanitation in both client services and training environments.
- Manage appointment schedules effectively for both client services and training sessions.
- Promote salon services and training courses to potential clients and students.
- Mentor junior nail technicians and contribute to the salon's overall service excellence.
Requirements
- Professional nail technician qualification and certification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Nail Technician, with a strong portfolio of work, including intricate nail art.
- Proven experience in training, education, or mentorship within the beauty industry.
- In-depth knowledge of nail anatomy, common nail conditions, and corrective treatments.
- Expertise in various nail application systems (e.g., gel polish, hard gel, acrylics, dip powder).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and multitask between client services and training responsibilities.
- Passion for teaching and fostering the development of skills in others.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to hygiene and safety standards.
- Experience with digital platforms for online training or client consultation is a plus.
