We're growing quickly-and we're looking for a Senior Research Analyst who can level up our data, insights, and market intelligence. About the Opportunity As a Senior Research Analyst at Floorspace, you'll be a core part of our research engine-responsible for leading our market data program, building high-quality insight products, and supporting brokers with the information they need to win business and advise clients. This role goes beyond standard research: you'll help shape how Floorspace collects, structures, and leverages data across Vancouver's commercial real estate market. You'll oversee data integrity across FLO, guide junior analysts, and collaborate closely with both our brokerage and product teams. What You'll Be Doing Market Intelligence & Reporting Lead quarterly and monthly market research for office, industrial, and retail sectors. Produce data-driven reports, dashboards, and insights for clients, pitches, and internal visibility. Monitor leasing activity, construction, subleases, and key market trends across Metro Vancouver. Data Quality & System Ownership Oversee and maintain the accuracy of core datasets within FLO (buildings, availabilities, leases, comps). Establish and refine data standards for research across asset classes. Improve research workflows and help drive automation and efficiency. Business Development Support Prepare insight packages for pitch decks and client proposals. Identify opportunities in the market for tenant rep outreach, landlord listings, and strategic positioning. Work closely with senior brokers to frame market narratives and support deal execution with data. Leadership & Collaboration Mentor and support junior analysts and interns. Work cross-functionally with marketing to elevate our market storytelling. Partner with our product and engineering teams to shape future FLO features that rely on research data. Special Projects Lead deep-dive studies (sublease trends, sector-specific analyses, demand patterns, etc.). Contribute to new research formats such as our "Floorspace Five," neighbourhood guides, and property analyses. Who We're Looking For You're not just comfortable with data-you know how to use it to tell a compelling story. You bring strong analytical grounding, an understanding of commercial real estate, and the ability to translate information into actionable insights. You have: 3-5+ years of experience in commercial real estate research, valuation, data analytics, or a related field. Strong knowledge of CRE fundamentals-leasing, market dynamics, submarkets, and asset types. Advanced proficiency in Excel. Experience managing datasets and ensuring data integrity. Exceptional written and verbal communication, especially in synthesizing complex information. Interest in working closely with both brokerage and product/tech teams. The team is primarily office-based, with some flexibility for hybrid work. Compensation Salary range: $70,000-$90,000 , depending on experience. Includes a performance-based bonus program.
