Application Engineer

Insight Global is seeking an Application Engineer, Order Management Systems for one of our top luxury retail clients. This individual will be responsible for guiding, building, and managing retail and commercial order management systems and platforms. The role focuses on modernized solutions that enable consistent development and deployment, supporting configurations and solution designs that are easily maintained by end users. The Application Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, transparent, and innovative environment to deliver exceptional customer experiences and business results. Key Responsibilities Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, perform root-cause and impact analysis, and communicate resolutions. Gather requirements, design scalable solutions, and implement improved configurations, processes, and architecture. Create documentation and lead training sessions for system users. Engage stakeholders to identify operational improvements and efficiencies. Perform SOX control validations and ensure compliance. Provide QA and UAT scenarios, guide testing, and validate solutions before deployment. Identify gaps in systems and integrations, propose workarounds or changes. Document business processes and ensure consistent adoption. Collaborate with technical experts to balance usability and performance. Validate data accuracy for external sources and resolve inconsistencies. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Experience Education: University degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field. Experience: 3–5+ years as a business analyst, consultant, or engineer supporting Order Management Solutions. Strong experience with D365 ERP (Finance & Ops, Retail, Supply Chain Management). Experience performing SOX control validations and ensuring compliance. Experience creating QA and UAT scenarios, guiding testing, and validating solutions prior to deployment. Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-BAP, or Microsoft/Azure/Cloud are an asset. Superior knowledge of ERP integrations (APIs, Webhook, EDI). Ability to write and understand complex SQL queries. Intermediate to advanced understanding of commerce engines (headed/headless), business processes, and unified data. Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
