Hays Property Team is recruiting for an Asset Manager with a well renowned Real Estate business and one of the largest privately owned companies in Canada with annual revenues of over $15billion in multiple industries.
Your new role
You will be working with a leading Canadian business to assist with them on their Real Estate business across Vancouver for a commercial portfolio of around 30 properties in the Lower Mainland. The position is a hybrid role with 3/3.5 days in office/on-site with an option for two offices in Vancouver to be located in to work out of. This is a newly created role for a continual growing portfolio which three key priorities for the position:
Management of the budgets for the buildings in your portfolio, both CapEx and OpEx as well as monthly reporting and variance analysis.
Leasing - there is an interchange of both leasing and asset management in this position with expectation for the Asset Manager to identify potential tenants and negotiating deals.
Asset Management - future strategy and plans for the portfolio, oversight of the P&L for each property and identifying opportunities for maximizing profitability for each building.
You will be working closely with the PM Team on all CapEx and OpEx work in tracking the budgets.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed as the Asset Manager, you should have over 5+ years experience within an Asset Management role, specifically within Commercial Real Estate. You must have a strong knowledge of financials within commercial and ability to understand the operational side of the business on a day to day to maximize opportunities within your portfolio. An experience in managing budgets, both OpEx and CapEx is a must have as well as responsibility with Commercial P&L as well as reporting, building analytics and long term building strategy plans.
