SAP provides comprehensive cloud infrastructure and managed service offerings for the private cloud and is an essential part of the overall Cloud Strategy of SAP. SAP allows customers to run their SAP S/4 HANA, and HANA applications, including SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA and SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse powered by SAP HANA, in a managed private cloud environment in SAP’s datacenters, Hyperscale Clouds IaaS Environments, and customers’ existing datacenters. SAP has strategic partnerships with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform to offer customers choice for private cloud deployment. What You’ll Do Present RISE Private Cloud offering, technical details, and engagement model to internal and external stakeholders. Build customer‑specific cloud roadmaps to support cloud adoption and business transformations. Gather as‑is technical requirements and map them to to‑be enterprise cloud architecture. Assess customer security and network requirements to ensure the SAP security architecture framework can meet customer needs. Work with SAP delivery and engineering teams to address customer‑specific requirements. Present the value proposition for SAP private cloud on hyperscale clouds like AWS, Azure, and GCP. Conduct technical assessment workshops with customers to define the future cloud architecture and support the migration roadmap together with partners, system integrators, and/or SAP Professional Services. Guide customers on all technical aspects like business continuity, security & compliance, networks, etc. Own the technical discussions with the customer and act as the orchestrator of experts to obtain expertise from the SAP delivery organization as required. Act as a trusted advisor to VAT and assigned customers on all technical aspects of SAP RISE. What You Bring High proficiency in customer communications and presentations. High proficiency in the SAP product portfolio, offerings, and industry solutions. Good understanding of SAP solutions (releases, platform interdependencies, etc.). Good understanding of operational aspects (application or technical) of SAP solutions in a cloud environment. Good understanding of capabilities of at least one hyperscale cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Ability and willingness to be part of a global team of cloud architects. Willingness to undertake customer‑related travel on short notice. Fluency in English is a MUST; any other language is an asset. 2+ years of customer‑facing pre‑sales and cloud architecture role is an advantage. 8+ years of customer‑facing SAP technical consulting experience. 8+ years of solution design, enterprise architecture, or SAP implementation. SAP NetWeaver, OS/DB migration, SAP HANA, TOGAF certifications are a plus. Experience and certifications with IaaS providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are a big advantage. SAP HANA and S/4 HANA skills would be very helpful but not mandatory. Cloud security knowledge (cyber security, encryption, key management) is preferred. The targeted combined salary range for this position is $133,300 – $285,200 (CAD). The actual amount offered will be within that range, depending on education, skills, experience, role scope, location, and other factors.
