Based in Ottawa, Ontario the Solutions Architect (Cloud, Software & Enterprise IT) will report to the Director of Technology and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on the design and oversee scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions that support TULLOCH’s digital transformation strategy. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business and technical teams to ensure that architecture decisions align with organizational goals and industry best practices. What You’ll Do Design and implement cloud-first architectures leveraging platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Translate defined business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. Define integration strategies for enterprise applications, SaaS products, and legacy systems. Develop architecture blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation for proposed solutions. Provide technical leadership and governance across the software development lifecycle. Ensure solutions comply with cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with IT and Software teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automated deployments. Mentor engineers and development teams in solution design best practices. Who You Are 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Cloud Architect, or similar role in enterprise IT. Proven experience designing and implementing solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong understanding of enterprise IT systems, networking, security, databases, and middleware. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You can exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives. You are willing to travel periodically as needed. What You Should Bring The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). Additionally, you should have: Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools. Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud strategies. Familiar with MS Fabric integrations. Strong leadership ability in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams. Valid Class G driver’s licence.
