Your Opportunity Stantec is currently seeking a Bridge Engineering Intern (EIT) to join our transportation team based in Hamilton, London, or Waterloo. In this position you’ll be an active member of our team working on small to large-scale multi-disciplinary projects under the guidance and supervision of a Professional Bridge Engineer. Working in our Hamilton office, you will be given the opportunity to further develop your skills in evaluating, selecting, specifying, and engineering structural systems for a variety of transportation projects, anything from highways to rail. Your Key Responsibilities Execute the structural engineering portion of various highway, transit, and rail projects through all phases from proposal preparation, project kick-off, preliminary design, detailed design, tendering, construction, and contract administration Assist with development of design plans, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates Prepare, check and deliver engineering calculations, reports and technical studies Regular collaboration with other transportation design professionals and teams to complete projects Undertake culvert and bridge inspections to assess condition #J-18808-Ljbffr
