Serve Giant Tiger customers in Cambridge through checkout service, electronic transactions, and merchandise replenishment. This position offers full-time or part-time scheduling.
As a Cashier, you will support customer experiences at mainline and self checkouts while following store policies. The work includes transaction accuracy, checkout organization, loss prevention, and compliant tobacco and lottery sales. Giant Tiger values effective communication, interpersonal skills, and independent and team-based work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level customer service at checkouts
- Record transactions accurately using electronic cash registers
- Operate mainline and self checkouts
- Replenish merchandise around checkout areas
- Maintain clean, organized checkout work areas
Requirements:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to stand and walk during shifts
- Ability to lift or move up to 18 kilograms
- Ability to perform repetitive hand motions and firm grasping
