Detail: This is an outstanding opportunity to transition your practice and to deliver high-quality emergency medicine care to our community. TDMH has a very busy Emergency Department with visits approximately 29,000 per year, a skilled staff and excellent specialty back-up. TDMH is a progressive fully accredited 45 bed community hospital that provides both inpatient and outpatient care to a population of approximately 45,000 in Tillsonburg and surrounding area. TDMH is a full service active treatment hospital with 30 acute care beds, 5 ICCU beds and 10 CCC beds. There is 24/7 Emergency Room Service with specialty back up in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Anaesthesia and Radiology, and access to world-class tertiary care just 30 minutes away in London. The resident will be required to respond to all Emergency Department patients and will respond to inpatient Units at nursing request for any pressing/emergency issues if the hospitalist is not available. Supervision: TDMH provides a mentorship for our new ED physicians in order to offer practice support in the transition to practice. An ED physician will be immediately available for support through the entire shift and able to attend the ED within 20 minutes. All patient charts will be reviewed by the supervising physician. Min Requirement: As per the restricted registration guidelines established by the Residents Training Program. Additional Requirement: ACLS, ATLS, PALS.
