About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced API and SAP Process Integration/Exchange Infrastructure (PI/XI) Integration Expert for an immediate, critical project with our client. The ideal candidate possesses deep architectural knowledge in both API design/security and SAP integration technologies (PI/XI/PO) and can rapidly translate business needs into technical designs and implemented solutions. Key Responsibilities API Design & Architecture: Lead the design and documentation of the end-to-end methodology for robust API calls (REST/SOAP), ensuring scalability and performance. Security & Authentication: Implement and manage security protocols, including designing and configuring the process for front-end user authentication through the API layer (e.g., OAuth 2.0, JWT). Development & Modification: Hands-on development, modification, and creation of APIs based on final functional and technical designs. SAP Integration: Leverage expertise in SAP PI/XI/PO (Process Orchestration) to design and configure complex interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systems. Technical Consulting: Provide expert guidance on integration strategy, security best practices, and system architecture. Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience in Enterprise Application Integration and API development. Proven, hands-on experience in SAP PI, SAP XI, or SAP PO configuration, development, and monitoring. Expert-level knowledge of API design principles (RESTful, SOAP, microservices) and related tools/gateways. Deep understanding of API security frameworks and authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT). Experience with data mapping, transformation, and various message formats (XML, JSON, EDI). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Certification in relevant cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, Mulesoft, Azure API Gateway). Experience in a client-facing consulting role.
