Key Responsibilities Exemplify Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines. Participate in planning and completion of geological/geotechnical site investigations, including instrumentation, logging, sampling, and field testing. Generate and/or update technical drawings, figures, and models. Assist in the preparation of technical design documents under limited supervision. Assist in the preparation of project proposals under limited supervision. Capabilities and Credentials Demonstrates creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems. Ability to conduct work safely, maintaining a high degree of situational awareness. Strong communication skills in English (both written and oral). Team-oriented and collaborative. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Experience conducting remote field work in challenging environments is an asset. Work experience in mining or resource industries is an asset. Experience with geoscience-related software (ArcGIS, Leapfrog, etc.) is an asset. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geoscience or related field. Registered with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC) or Alberta Professional Engineers Geoscientists Association (APEGA) as a Geologist in Training. 0 to 6 years of mining industry or consulting experience; co‑op or internship experience applicable. Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and satisfactory Driver’s Abstract per Stantec’s Safe Driving Policy. Education and Experience This position may have additional qualification requirements depending on work assignments. Additional qualifications will be defined in Project Specific Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Plans. Responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice. Pay Range Locations in Lower Mainland - BC: $72,300.00 – $104,800.00 Annually.
