Senior Python Software Engineer

DataRobot is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to expand our Data&Connectors engineering team, with the main focus on development of backend of our GenAI platform and Agentic applications. As an engineer in this team you will be working with a team of experienced engineers working on a bleeding edge of practical GenAI and Agentic application development. The team is located all over the world, including the US, Ukraine, Germany, Poland and Singapore. Our technology stack includes Python, Kotlin/Java, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Harness and many other tools. Key skills and competencies: Due to the varied abilities of Backend Engineers, we are open to a wide range of experience from 4 years up to 10+ years of proven experience writing high-quality code in a collaborative, cloud-native environment preferably using Python Experience working with cloud platforms: designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based solutions Strong software engineering fundamentals in algorithms and data structures. Distributed systems fundamentals and principles related to scalability, performance, and reliability. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Personal drive and a proactive approach to getting things done. Effective communication behavior: can connect with both technical and non-technical audiences effectively in English Nice to have: JVM experience. Experience with k8s, docker, helm Real-world experience decoupling monolithic software into smaller reusable components Experience with CI/CD, preferably Harness Understanding of oAuth/JWT/Kerberos/LDAP/SAML CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) certification Keen interest in working in a fast-paced, flexible startup environment with a geographically distributed team Key responsibilities: Develop, test and support features of DataRobot with the main focus on expanding unstructured data connectivity and data processing capabilities of DataRobot GenAI platform and Agentic applications. Own and drive key projects and milestones while fostering a culture of abundant communication Write and maintain automated tests. Communicate clearly and pro-actively with product and technical stakeholders to clarify requirements. Seek, give, and receive critical feedback in a constructive manner, including but not limited to code reviews.
