Description This position will offer you the opportunity to manage the execution of multiple underground transmission line projects. The position will involve coordinating with multiple internal and external departments to manage the life cycle of project execution. Responsible for project execution, contract administration, planning and resource management. Take ownership for all aspects of project performance including technical, safety, schedule, budget, reporting and client experience through entire project lifecycle. Manage and direct the project team to ensure accountability. Mentor and coach team members. Provide technical reviews when necessary. Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with client functional leads and stakeholders. Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed safely, satisfactorily, on time, and within budget. Support the reporting of key performance indicators for schedule, budget and other dashboard items. Identify and control construction risk. Recognize, identify, track and control change. Communicate and consult with appropriate stakeholders and supervisors. Prepare reports in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements. Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results. Qualifications We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in Canada for this position. This position may require access to U.S. export-controlled information. As such, candidates must be a citizen of a country listed in Appendix A to Part 810 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Essential Skills and experience: This position requires a BS degree from a Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board-accredited undergraduate program or a US based ABET-accredited program or a management/business degree. Knowledge of CYMCAP modeling. Knowledge of cable tensioning calculations and software. Knowledge of XLPE cable design. 10+ years of experience of leading a design team in the development of complex underground transmission projects. Experience in cost estimate development and schedule creation and coordination. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of technical plans, drawings, and models. Experience with serving as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead role. Ability to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities is critical to success. Ability to work in a collaborative team setting. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Attention to detail. Valued but not required skills and experience: Knowledge of High Pressure Gas Filled or High-Pressured Fluid Filled pipe type cable systems and associated equipment Knowledge of underground distribution or low voltage cable systems.
