DevOps Engineer

The Role We are looking for a motivated and collaborative DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Security and Infrastructure team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will have responsibility for building and maintaining cloud based infrastructure and collaborate with engineering teams to solve operational problems, design and implement solutions, tools and practices that increase operational productivity at a large scale. Responsibilities Work closely with Engineering stakeholders to design and maintain a reliable, scalable and secure. Optimize existing deployment tooling and infrastructure, create and maintain new CI/CD pipelines and optimize infrastructure for cost or performance to meet company goals. Collaborate with the Engineering team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions. Provide DevOps domain expertise for existing projects and new initiatives. Set up and maintain test environments for manual and automated testing. Conduct and analyze results of vulnerability scanning and penetration testing and action findings. Plan and perform ongoing routine application maintenance tasks. Participate in on‑call rotations for monitoring and alerting. Identify cost saving opportunities within our infrastructure. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and/or automation engineering. Strong understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS. Experience with running and managing systems and services on a cloud platform (AWS). Strong understanding of database technologies such as MongoDB. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes & Linux systems. Knowledge of Terraform and Packer. Experience deploying cloud services, monitoring, alerting, and handling critical issues. Agile development experience. Works well in a team environment, as well as independently. Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving. Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time. The ability to work without close supervision and thrive in an autonomous working environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Technical curiosity and desire for continuous learning. Nice to have AWS DevOps Engineer certification. Experience with cloud‑based security protocols. Location We embrace a distributed model of working to reach the best talent in the world. While some roles may require proximity to Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver offices, roles based outside our office locations can be remote in Canada and the US.
