Part time Housekeeping Aide work at Extendicare centers on sanitation, floor care, and cleaning resident apartments and common areas. Support residents through dependable daily service.
This Housekeeping Aide position serves residents in a long term care home. You will use institutional cleaning techniques, operate floor care machines, and follow established safety practices. The work includes documentation, training, meetings, and quality improvement participation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean assigned areas using scheduled sanitation methods
- Clean resident apartments, fixtures, walls, ceilings, lights, vents, and windows
- Operate floor care machines and steam cleaning equipment
- Strip, scrub, spray, and buff floor surfaces
- Transport garbage to designated areas
Requirements:
- Good oral and written English communication skills
- Knowledge of standard institutional cleaning techniques
- Commercial, residential, healthcare cleaning, or laundry experience desirable
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet physical job requirements
