We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join a multi‑discipline team that develops automated machinery for the global market. Responsibilities Understand design requirements by reviewing customer discussions, internal business requirements and industry standards. Resolve technical problems such as conflicting requirements, cost constraints, reliability improvements and other challenges. Mitigate risks through activities such as failure mode analysis, risk assessment, design adjustments and validation test planning. Complete detailed design of electrical sub‑systems, including power system sizing, servo equipment sizing, control circuit design and 3D modeling of electrical equipment and cables on the machine. Participate in team design reviews as projects progress and check design documentation before release. Prepare manufacturing documentation, including bills of materials, assembly drawings, cable fabrication drawings, wire preparation schedules and work instructions. Support assembly, test and installation and refine designs based on lessons learned. Qualifications 3–5 years of design experience in machinery automation. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Familiar with calculating design parameters and electrical cabinet layout design, modeling and detailing techniques (EPLAN preferred, NX preferred). Understanding of electrical system troubleshooting, manufacturing and assembly processes. Experience selecting and sizing components (sensors, breakers, contactors, cables, connectors, servo systems, safety equipment, etc.) is an asset. Strong problem‑solving skills, applied learning ability, time‑management and organizational skills. Team player with out‑of‑the‑box creativity, attention to detail, effective communication, collaboration and ownership. Occasional travel may be required.
